STARPACK 2015. Sudent project that was awarded at the international British Packaging Design competition STARPACK. The competition brief was to choose a product that is normally packed in a rigid container (glass, metall etc) and design a new packaging using material saving and easier to recycle polythene laminates.
NAKRE is a new kind of perfume bottle designen using thin and flexible plastic. The bottle design itself functions as the pumping mechanism. I choose to work with perfume bottles because I feel it is a type of product that you very rarely see packed in any other material than glass. I wanted to take advantage of the properties of a flexible material and instead of trying to copy a bottle made of glass do something different.
The name Nakre comes from the word nacer which is a synonym for mother of pearl.
