The brief was to create a secondary packaging solution that also works as a store display for a cosmetic product. I choose to work with mascara and create a sculptural display unit that would match the luxury feel of quality mascara.
The product proto was manufactured in collaboration with graphical design student Nagisa Takahashi.
This is how the package looks when it arrives at the store.
The top of the package becomes the base for the mascara display unit. The fans that easily fitted inside the package are then opened and mounted using the small paper hooks on their sides.
All three fan circles are placed inside the base to form an origamic flowershaped display stand.
Display example. The product has a hole in the middle witch makes it possible for a store to use their own andvertisement stand together with the mascara package.
